Yasha Chapman (she/her) is the Founder, CEO, and Principal Consultant of Elementary Education Evolved, LLC, an educational consulting firm that partners with schools, districts, and organizations to decrease the academic gap for minority students in grades K-5 and increasing teacher retention of apprentice teachers through effective instructional coaching and training.

With over ten years’ experience in the educational field serving in all primary grades (Pre-k-5th with the exception of 4th grade), Yasha has served as a Certified Classroom Teacher (with certifications in Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina), an Instructional Coach, Tutor, Curriculum Coordinator, and Curriculum Writer. She graduated from Georgia Southern University with a B.S. in Early Childhood Education and Liberty University with a Masters of Education in Curriculum Instruction: Leadership. Yasha believes in effective school leadership, equity, and supporting educators to discover their gifts and talents within the classroom.

Described as an “influential and passionate” educator, Yasha has created and facilitated numerous professional development trainings and has had great success on her educational journey. When it comes to the world of education, Yasha has been immersed in it all of her life, as both of her parents are previous educators. It is from them that she learned the transforming power that education has to offer.

The power of education allowed her parents to provide countless opportunities and a life of enrichment for her and her siblings, making it possible to send five children to college! Her mother, Dr. Chiquetta Thompson, serves as her greatest inspiration behind the mission of closing academic gaps for minority students. “My mother grew up in poverty and had very little in her childhood; however, with great perseverance and unwavering faith, she secured three degrees, her last being a doctoral degree! She is my proof that all children can succeed and the product of receiving high-quality instruction. She is my why; because of her, I am!” Yasha Chapman is a  Savannah, Georgia native, who currently resides in southern California. She is a military spouse and a mother to two beautiful children.
